Spam is now a part of the net users life.
Despite software on home computers designed to stop spam it still gets through waisting countless hours of our lives. It therefore seems suprising that we are not telling these companies that we dont want this, admittedly we cant use the unsubscribe feature on spam emails as there is a huge number of these that only confirm the email arrived at a live address, sending an email to the sender is a waist of time as it is often a fake address or worse someone elses address whose computer may be being used without there knowledge, a letter or email to there customer services department also seems unlikely to have any effect. So if direct action is difficult or impossible then we have to use a different method and thats what this is all about.
If we tell all those companies that we are never going to buy ANY product from them ever because they advertise by spam this may make them re-evaluate there methods. By signing this petition and agreeing to never buy anything from a company who sends you spam you can be part of a comunity who might make a difference. |
