Kurdish asylum seeker in Finland in imminent danger of deportation to Iran!

The petition

Amir Mohammady (29) applied asylum from Finland since January 2005. The Directorate of Immigration and the Supreme Administrator Court refused his asylum application. Mr. Mohammady has been in depression since December 2006. Since February 27, 2007 he has been in hanger strike with no sleeping. He was delivered to Lappeenranta hospital on Thursday Marc 1st.
Amir Mohammady was an active member of Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan. The Party is bannded by Islamic republic of Iran Party members and supporters are defined according to Iranian Law as evils, which are under execution endangered.

I am writing to express my most unequivocal concern regarding the Finland Directorate of Immigration and the Supreme Administrator Court decision to deem Mr. Amir Mohammady inadmissible to apply for refugee status and deportable back to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

I put forward my grave concern as to Amir Mohammady like the other victims of the Iranian repressive regime, have not been treated appropriately by the government, but has dramatically experienced such traumatic situation in Finland. Amir had to flee the country due to his ethnic grouping and political activities against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He faces a serious risk of torture and execution should he be deported to Iran. I call on the Finnish government to review its decision and grant Mr. Mohammady admission and protection from torture and deportation.

Needless to say, I hold the Finnish government accountable for his life and safety.
