| 19 | Carlo Sparanero | United Kingdom | This seems to be a fundamental human right without which we will constantly struggle to uphold the other basic human rights listed in the Universal Declaration. The amendment and application of a community's inalienable right of access to the benefits of land would mean we would finally have Declaration of "Universal" Human Rights. |

| 26 | Peter Reilly | United Kingdom | To have equal rights to life implies equal rights to be on this on this Earth. But whilst
Land can be regarded as private property, landless people do not have equal rights to be on the Earth or draw sustenance from its bounty.
Land is the heritage of all its human inhabitants. Only by sharing the value of land and its untapped resources, can there be any guarantee of making poverty history.
This is clearly different from sharing ‘value added’ by the use of hard work, investment and ingenuity, called upon by socialists, though this need not be totally excluded.
Land values, even before the investment upon it, yield enough return to finance public services and a citizen’s dividend.
The method, where land has already been privatised is to tax the market rent of land. Where land has not been privatised, it should be leased by the State to those who wish to use it. |
| 27 | Samran Crowley | England | It is common sense, when you think about it. If the air was privately owned we had to pay for the right to breathe it, some people would be very rich and most would be very poor! |

| 32 | Godfrey R A Dunkley | Republic of South Africa | Collecting all revenue from land values will encourage distribution of land. Present taxes are cause of unemployment |
| 33 | Nicholas Dennys | United Kingdom | I fully agree with this. Even, personally, with the use of the word "principal" in the amendment to article 29. However, principal means "most important". I would prefer "essential" to avoid a competition with duties espoused by others, such as "love thy neighbour". Essential in the sense of crucial and necessary, but allowing that there can be other essential duties. |
| 34 | Ernest J Kahn | United States of America | I fully agree with and foster this amendment. |
| 35 | Walter Rybeck | United States of America | A PLEA TO RECOGNIZE THAT EVERY PERSON IN EVERY COUNTRY IS ENTITLED TO A FAIR SHARE OF THE VALUE OF NATURE'S BOUNTY--THAT THE VALUE OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND THE VALUE OF LOCATIONS ON THE EARTH'S SURFACE WHICH ARE NOW UNJUSTLY MONOPOLIZED BY A SMALL MINORITY OF THE POPULATION SHOULD BE EQUITABLY DISTRIBUTED TO ALL |

| 38 | Andrew Duffield | United Kingdom | This would be more powerful if you had an amended text for potential signatories to look at. |
| 39 | Fran Hicks | United Kingdom | I wholly endorse the amendement. I alos want to stress that, for me "the community" includes the other life forms who share the earth with us and with whom our fortunes are inextricasbly linked. These sentiments are endorsed in the Document of Human Responsibilities for Peace and Sustainable Development ( UN General Assembly Resolution 42/187, 11 Dec. 1987 ) Artcle 12, reads "Human being have a continuing responsibility when setting up, taking part in or representing social units, corporations and institutions, whether private or public.... to promote peace and sustainability ,......including the fostering of awareness of the interdependence of human beings among themsleves and with nature " |
| 40 | Alec Aubrey | United Kingdom | The earth is there for every single inhabitant and should not be apportioned by humans without serious responsibility for their actions. We do not own the Earth through power. |

| 43 | Dan Pedersen | Denmark | |
| 44 | Birthe Straarup | Denmark | Birthright is all right in the headlines. However, when argued for, it should be maintaind that in order to defend the right of the unborn child and help the mother to give birth, the share should be given from the day the child is acknowledged into the world! Because from this very day the child is also giving rise to further value of land! |

(2) That each man has an exclusive right to the use and enjoyment of what is produced by his own labour.
