1201 Lance DoucetteI've had a bag, which contained pretty much everything I owned, lost last Christmas (2007). Today is March the 5th, and I returned from BC on the 7th of January...I have not heard a peep from Air Canada about compensation for my loss. Considering that I am a student, and had to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe, this has been a huge inconvenience to me. We pay this company thousands of dollars to take care of us and our luggage, and they obviously don't care. Someone needs to take responsibility for these mistakes.
1202 Thanuja DassanayakeNot only Air Canada took passengers safety twice, they also treated us inhumanly, I was with a 3 1/2 old infant and was treated very badly and rudely, and when finally I said that their treatment should be reported to human rights, I was told by AC ground crew to go ahead and do so.
1203 AnonymousLost luggage & no sympathy that's what I got from Air Canada on a weekend trip to Ottawa last year, It was a nightmare. We had two dinners and a confrence to attend & had to purchase approperiate clothing at our expence. We were back home 2 days before our luggage arrived back in St. John's 2 suitcases ruined!! What else can I say.

1210 AnonymousI never received so poor service from the agents at check in when the snow sotrm hit Motnreal. They were not helpful at all with us and just kept on pushing our problems the next day wihtout any specific help. The agent at check in actually said it was not her job to deal with rebooking clients who's flight was cancelled, she was there to do check in, that's it. We found ourselves paying for hotel nights, food and car rental for 48 hours because they couldn't do better!

1212 Joan FogartyWe just came through Toronto last Monday from Palm Springs, CA and had to line up for three hours to get boarding passes. Air Canada staff were minimal, gave no information, and some were quite rude. Luggage that had arrived at St. John's three days before travellers arrived was left at the bottom of the escalator with no security in sight.

He thought to himself: 'Wow, she's so gorgeous she must be an off duty flight attendant. But which airline does she work for?' Hoping to make her acquaintance, he leaned towards her and uttered the Delta slogan: 'Love to fly and it shows?' She gave him a blank, confused stare and he immediately thought to himself: 'Damn, she doesn't work for Delta.' A moment later, another slogan popped into his head. He leaned towards her again 'Something special in the air?' She gave him the same confused look. He mentally kicked himself, and scratched Singapore Airlines off the list. Next he tried the Thai Airways slogan: 'Smooth as Silk.' This time the woman turned on him, 'What the f *** do you want?' The man smiled, then slumped back in his chair, and said 'Ahhhhh, Air Canada....!

1226 pat mcmillanDue to Air Canada incompetence (waiting for 2 first class clients) I missed my connection to South Africa. A full day out of my vacation- with no recompense, had to put up at a hotel in Washington( 1/2 hotel and meals paid). Why can they hold a plane for 2 people when a hundred economy class are not only inconvenienced and are out a lot of money?

1229 Elizabeth ShortWhile checking in my baggage for a 1 year trip to Korea to teach English, the Air Canada worker ripped my suitcase. I asked her to put my suitcase in a bag, or tape it up at least...I mean, Vancouver to Seoul is a pretty long flight and I had stocked up on everything I thought I would need for a year and I didn't want to lose anything. She said we didn't have time to fix it (I WAS 3 HOURS EARLY!!!) and just put my suitcase through. When I arrived in Seoul, my suitcase was lost. Thanks guys.

1241 shirley parsonsI'm sick and tired of air canada. transport canada should do a study on how frequently flights from hfx to st. john's are delayed 4-8 hours for 'mechanical reasons', when the real reason is that air canada is waiting for a plane to come in from vancouver or calgary.....so they will have a full load to st. john's. It riles me that they can hold me hostage for 6 hours....waste my time and consider my time not valuable. This is a very frequent occurence. what is transport canada doing??

1246 Gerald ParadisI think Air Canada customer relations are terrible. We were one of the people stuck in Halifax a couple yeays ago with no compensation. Left Montreal they knew there was a problem in Halifax but just droped us off and didn't get out for three days. It also seems it is a roll of the dice wether we get our luggage at the end of the trip. I now use Air Canada only as a last resort.
1247 Anonymousthey cheated me out of a return ticket. they said it would be on hold for one year when i try to retrieve it they said it wasn't on record it was worth over $800 dollars.. They need to be made responsiable.
