I plan to send this petition to Mr. Ortiz- the principal of Vera Escamilla, an Intermediate school in Houston, Texas. I plan to send it to him by July 29, 2005. I hope that this petition will get Mr. Boettcher-the mean and annoying science teacher, fired. He does the LEAST he can to teach us. I've observed that when boys ask him a question about the assignment or about something they don't understand, he says "I don't know, because I don't read the book, because the pages might bite me and eat me", or something along those lines. When girls ask him like the boys do, he answers them nicely-HE ACTUALLY ANSWERS THEM! But not the boys. That's just plain wrong. When we do something wrong, he makes us copy pages out of the book. He rarely gets girls introuble like one day one boy was copying out of the book and a girl was blowing her nose and the boy looked up at the girl and the girl said"what are you looking at?" and the boy said "You". Then the girl threw a paper towel at the boy and pushed him down out of his seat, and she yelled for him to finish his work. Mr. Boettcher was right in front of them and didn't say anything to the girl but told the boy to finish his work. I don't think he is a very good teacher and I don't think next year's students should have to go through what I went through. I never did this before because then I would be looked at as "The Boy Who Got The Science Teacher Fired". |
