The Australian OFLC needs to introduce a new classification rating model, to service the growing market of Adult gamers in Australia.
Recent Refused-Classifcations of popular games like GTA San Andreas, simply because the OFLC does not have a rating higher than MA15+, is against the rights of all Australian adults and will hurt businesses further by forcing such games to be duplicated and sold on the black market.
Its the 21st century and the OFLC has game ratings suitbale for children only, therefore any game that is recommended for adults, is simply banned and illegal to be sold and purchased in Australia. This is counter-productive for the gaming industry and is behind other developed countries, who treat games just like any other form of media with suitable R18+ and X18+ ratings. |
