Please encourage VP Al Gore to Endorse Sen. Obama

The petition

Honorable Vice President Albert Gore JR.

This letter is a request on behalf of the grass-root supporters of Senator Barack Obama for you to consider endorsing him for the democratic nomination for President of the United States.

We are all faithful democrats and we yearn to have a democratic leader that fosters unity and respect for the environment. Sen. Obama is conducting a campaign of integrity focused on unity. We believe that those are some of the same character traits that have propelled you to be one the most respected men in the world. We believe that your dedication to humanity pairs well with Sen. Obama’s allegiance to unity and repairing our otherwise super partisan political atmosphere.

We need unity to combat the problems of the world. The United States has to return to the strong leadership and moral authority that once made our great nation the forefront in world affairs.

Senator Obama is committed to a green initiative which includes:
o Reduce Carbon Emissions 80 Percent by 2050
o Cap and Trade
o Confront Deforestation and Promote Carbon Sequestration
o Invest in a clean Energy Future
o Double Energy Research and Development Funding
o Require 25 Percent of Renewable Electricity by 2025
o Set America on Path to Oil Independence

Senator Obama also inspires all of us to take onus on our lives for the greater good and asks us to take part in our future—take part in our government—take part in saving our environment—for the sake of us all. Senator Obama has made us believe in the potential of our government and restored our hope. He has inspired us to believe that we are all part of one community and that we all should look in each other’s eyes and see our selves. We have more commonalities than differences and we all have to move as one unit and speak in one voice if we are to combat the great problems our nation and our world.
