1 Jared SacksI know both these guys personally and I know that they had nothing to do with the charge. It is obviously political
2 Desmond D'SaRelease Jerome Daniels and Riedwaan Isaacs as they are not criminals all they have been doing is been rightious in standing for their community who deserve a better life promised by this government .
3 Citizens Against Privatisation - Auckland - New ZealandCowards always try to crush working class self defence by intimidation and attempts to "criminalise" those the social movements choose as leaders. We send our full solidarity to the Delft Anti-Eviction Campaign and the community they represent. Once again, the South African government and state stands condemned in the court of public opinion.
4 Jim GladwinAnother crime by the state against ordinary folk. Full support in your struggle!

14 anele mbiThe courts rule is to uphold justice. The court has refused to hold government accountable for the lack of housing delivery. It cannot therefore convict people for exercising their democratic right to struggle. This is a miscarriage of justice since in all the housing conflicts the courts are not acting independently and in favour of the progressive realisation of human rights entrenched in the constitution.

31 Guy SlingsbyHousing, water, electricity, quality employment, and access to quality health services are amongst other things basic human needs. It is our right and human responsibility in the spirit of human solidarity to struggle for a better life. It is these struggles that provide hope and human dignity for the oppressed and exploited. We salute the community leaders who have been imprisioned by the repressive machinery of the state for doing the right thing. Release them now! An injury to one is an injury to all.
