1065 Børge JensrudI am hereby expressing my concern for the violations on human rights in Burma/Myanmar, including the holding of political prisoners. I ask for the release of all political prisoners, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, U Tin Oo, Khun Tun Oo, Min Ko Naing, Min Zay Ya, Ko Ko Gyi, Htwe Kywe and Pyone Cho. I believe dialogue and substantive political talks between The State Peace and Development Council, the 1990 election winners National League for Democracy, and representatives for the country's ethnic groups can help bring about national reconsiliation and a peaceful transition towards democracy.

1080 Espéra DONOUVOSSIIt is a shame for the world and for the United Nations what happens. In the declaration of human rights,it is said that everybody is free to express himself but every day in the world, we assist to arbitrary arrestations of the citizens ;and the democracy ? How do we understand this concept?; what do the United Nations do to safeguard liberty for evreybody? Koffi Anan and his pairs must do something about . We must ,a part from the petition, manifest ourselves to safeguard the democracy and fight against injustice. No to the arbitrary arrestations! Longlive to the democracy in the world! Long life Justice and equity! Espéra G. DONOUVOOSI( Benin in west Africa)

1092 NDAYIKENGURUTSE EricI Live in Burundi / Africa. I realise that the participants for the festival organised in February are students. But, I think it is nescessary to invite some persones who had finished their stadies, but work for youth organisations and have experiences about peace and reconciliation to share with the students . For exemple, if it it is possible, I'd like to take part to the fastival and share my experience with the participants: 1) I finished my studies in 2002 and I have a diploma in History / Political Science. So I have knowleges in different theories in international relationship between peoples and between countries. Also, I'm trained in Non Violent Communication. Trough this training, I learned to accept others in the difference and how to resolve conflicts peacefully. 2) The United Nations has created "The International Great Lakes Conference" to help building peace in our region. The Conference is formed by 11 states of the Great Lakes area. I am member of the Youth Comitee of Burundi for the Conference. On August 2004, we took part to a Regional Conference in Uganda. We had to identify regional causes of conflicts and regional issues, beacause several conflicts in our region are similar. I think that this experience could help other regions to build peace. Also, I'm in Charge Programmes in the Coordination Office of a Network of Youth Organisations. The network is formed by 164 youth organisations. Some of theme are specialised in peace and reconciliation. Beacause of a reason : Our Country, Burundi, passed 10 years in an armed conflict. So there is a need of recociliation between burundians. Then, actually, beacause of the negociations, we have institutions obtained not trough a military victory but through democratic elections. Last ennemies are now becoming freinds and will buid their nation together. I'd like to share this experience with the students of other regions. Thank you verry much In hope to read you soon.
