The petition

We, the undersigned parents and community members strongly urge the San Mateo Union High School District and the Board of Trustees to support the retention of the 7-period day at San Mateo High School and throughout the entire school district. The San Mateo High School community has worked diligently to build the quality of the music program by offering strong, standards-based, sequential courses of study. This level of course offerings
must not be reduced. In order for this educational opportunity to be accessible to all students, the 7-period day must be maintained.
