Name: Tammie Topel on Nov 13, 2011Comments: The additional traffic to an already congested area that is a major crossing intersection for students poses a huge safety concern for our community. I am vehemently against the construction of a 7-11 or any convenience store in that area.Flag

Name: Marianne Kiernan on Nov 13, 2011Comments: My children do not get a bus to the Northport Middle School. We live off of Waterside Avenue so the only way to cross is at this intersection. It is already a dangerous busy spot, but the addition of an in and out convienent store would make this intersection deadly. Crossing guards are only available until 4:00pm, when the kids have after school activites there are no crossing guards at that corner. I beg you for the safety of all the children who walk home, please do not allow this 7-eleven to happen.Flag

Name: Donald P Roberts on Nov 14, 2011Comments: This is a neighborhood community that needs to stay that way. There is a 7Eleven within 1 mile on larkfield rd. that is easily accesible if the need arises. I respectfully urge the Town Board where I pay TAXES and elect those officials, to reject this proposal.Flag

Name: Theresa A. Pace on Nov 15, 2011Comments: I strongly oppose the building of a 7-Eleven at the corner of Waterside and 25A. The TD Bank has caused enough congestion at that spot. The traffic on Waterside is already busy and the speed limit is not enforced on a regular basis.Flag

Name: Jane Ryan on Nov 15, 2011Comments: The section they want to build this on is a dangerous intersection as it is, and there is a crosswalk there for the middle school. There is already a 7-11 on Laurel Rd. I don't think we need another one in such a small town. Northport is such a beautiful community, and as a tax payer and someone who resides here, I am opposed to this proposal.Flag
