To the Honorable President Barack Obama, Congratulations on your victory, and good luck on your term in office. Mr. President Sir, since the latest war in Iraq, the Assyrians, Catholic Chaldeans, and Orthodox Syriacs have been oppressed without any attention from democratic nations who promote world peace. It is for this reason, that we the undersigned, honoring the rich cultural ties that bring nations together, respectfully-request with one voice, a Nineveh Plains administrative unit to allow for regional self government under the central Iraqi government. This action if taken would most likely decrease Islamic Fundamentalism, replacing it with moderation. Furthermore, making Iraq more democratic as a result.
