We the undersigned youth of this nation and those who support us on this issue,
would like to petition 60 minutes to use their journalistic skills and resources to
investigate three key questions.
1. What is the current situation today, in the cocoa industry, in relation to the child slave
labour that is/or has been, used in the production of cocoa beans, and what are the major
chocolate companies in the world doing to address this issue
2. Which of the main brands of chocolate (if any) can we as consumers eat with a clear
conscience, knowing that no child had to suffer in its making
3. What is the New Zealand Government doing to restrict the importation of ingredients or
products into our country that have been produced using slave labour
