| 12 | Liz Merritt | With over a 120,000.00 players registered in the state of Washington...we need more fields! |
| 13 | Dianne Discolo | This sounds like a great to benefit LWYSA, King County and the history of the Sammamish Valley. |
| 14 | Sean Henderson | |
| 15 | John Burrell | This is a great way to use land that is both useful for the community and not an eyesore. I have seen this happen just down the road at Woodinville village where despite promises for it not happening, land along the slough is now a shopping facility.....soccer fields have minimal impact on the environment and a major positive impact on the community. I understand a few model airplane enthusiasts may not want their field repurposed, however this is an issue of "greater good" and King COunty has a top notch facility at Marymoor for pursuit of excellence in model aviation |

| 38 | David White | Thank you for doing this. If we could get some or most of these fields with artificial turf the fields could be used year-round. |

| 48 | Deirdre DeWan Johnson | Last October, in a lecture to business leaders, Sally Jewell, President and CEO of REI, said one of her biggest worries is that kids these days don’t spend enough time outside. According to Jewell, her company’s biggest competitor is not Patagonia, North Face, or L.L. Bean, but rather electronics superstore Best Buy. Why Best Buy? Because video games, TV, and computers are keeping kids indoors and away from nature, Jewell says.
Getting kids off the couch and out from in front of the TV is the best use for 60 Acres South. Our kids today face a critical shortage of ballfields, as do adult sports leagues. Please support athletic fields on Sixty Acres South.
Thank you,
Deirdre DeWan Johnson |
