We the udersigned electors of the Town of Collingwood and surrounding areas request a permanent and year round dog park in Collingwood. It is our hope that the large L-shaped lot behind ball diamond 2 at Central Park might be considered for this purpose. We feel this is the ideal location for the following reasons. 1. Only three sides of the fencing would be required. 2. there is more adequate parking. 3. It is a safe locations for the dogs and their owners. 4. it is a central location in town. 5. The residual lighting from the adjacent ball diamond would be sufficient for night time users of the park. We realize the the YMCA central park area is in high demand, however, we do ask to be considered in the process. If we cannot be accommidated in the YMCA area, we respectively request any large treed park area centrally located in Collingwood. Perhaps another possiblity might be using part of the large area behind McDonalds & Tim Horton's just of First Street. We thank you for your time and consideraton.
