More people are attacked by small dogs such as chihuahuas but he isn't trying to ban them now is he Poodles and Dalmations are also ill tempered types and are prone to attacking out of fear. Any dog that is afraid can attack, especially if a stranger is coming into the home such as a burglar. A dog will protect the people it loves, pit bull or not.Tom Skeldon is a real asshole and needs to be removed. His job isn't to ban dogs because he had a bad experience or just simply hates them, his job is to help the animals of this city and he's not doing that at all.Flag

I know there are people out there that don't do right with their dogs by why must everyone else suffer over them I love my dog as he is my human child, and you know it really scares me to register him because I don't want my dog given that title of evil. He has been raised around my family which is really big with all kids ranging from 17years to 10months you know the little one love on him and he just gives them kisss. So why is it I should continue being scared All this man has done is make people afraid of dogs that he decided to label "Pitbulls" a dangerous dog. I'm more afraid of a chihuahua then a pitbull honestly.. So please get this man out of the office and let us own our dogs no matter the breed, and let us as owners take the fall if we use our dogs for the wrong reasons.Flag

I am a responsible so called "Pit" owner. I can tell you first hand that it is not the dog but the owner and how they treat and raise the dog. My "Pit" was found in a dumpster at 6 weeks old and can still find it in his heart to love humans. Tell me that is a vicious animal The human that placed him there is the vicious one. I have attended meetings regarding the Pit- Bulls in Sylvia Township. My husband was asked to come to talk about our pit bull. Our Pit Bull is the best, we have put him through obedience classes, he has received his good canine certificate, attends agility classes, and gets along with our human family as well as our 7 other four legged family members. My husband and I have been working in dog rescue for about 5-6 years and love working with every breed out there. Our experience with Tom Skeldon we found out that he is a very negative person that has it out for the Pit Bull breed and breeds that looks like a Pit Bull. But he has to remember it is not the breed it's the owners that raise them. Tom Skeldon's examples at the meeting we attended of the pit bulls pick up on one weekend was, A man with a gun and his pit bull (humans fault). Two young boys in a back of a bar trying to breed their Pit Bulls (once again humans fault). A pit bull running the streets (once again humans fault). and a man drug dealing with their pit bull (once again humans fault). They need to start going after the people that do not take on the responsibilities of owning a DOG. Instead of the responsible dog owners, and the Pit Bull breed.Flag

Lowering the cost of licensing would also encourage more people to buy the license and the warden would have more accurate numbers of registered dogs in the county. Also, place a higher licensing cost on a dog that has not been altered along with a high fine if litters of pups are found without the dog having a kennel/breeders license. This will hopefully encourage reluctant people to get their dogs fixed. I also firmly believe that you cannot judge a dog by its breed but that each individual dog should be temperment tested to see if it is a truly vicious dog.Flag

GET HIM OUT OF TOLEDO NOW!!!Flag
