| 453 | Patricia Richardson | The speeds on Highway 27 need to be reduced!!!
Lanes for traffic trying to emerge from local neighboorhoods need to be established so that cars have an area in which to pick up speed.
My son survived the Jan. 3, 2008 accident that took the life of his fiance. He survived, and I am grateful, but I still see his suffering both physically and emotionally from that accident. Someone, do something to make Highway 27 safer! |
| 454 | Mark S. Siegel | As a snowbird, I drive Highway 27 regularly. It is without a doubt one of the most dangerous roads I've encountered along the Atlantic Coast. The local drivers on highway 27 think that the road is a raceway and drive as if it is. A lower speed limit and more police enforcement of the speed limits and targeting aggressive drivers is a necessity. |

| 462 | Teresa R. McCarthy | I live 4 miles south of the Polk County Line in a community on Hwy. 27. Whenever I travel on Hwy 27 in that area and for the first 5 miles into the Lake County Portion, I have to be extremely vigilant. The trucks are going high rates of speed for their stopping ability in an area where there is heavy traffic and many stop lights and cross roads. |
| 463 | Jessica | There have been many, many times I have seen trailer trucks speeding through a red light on 27 honking there horn instead of slowing for the yellow light and stopping. Something needs to be done about the speeding on highway 27. |

| 482 | Lynda Palmatary | I am definitely for the petition that Mr. and Mrs. Hurd have started for their deceased daughter. There should be a law where people cannot text or talk on a cell phone while driving a vehicle. How many more loved ones will be taken from us? |
| 483 | Randie McConnell | My very best in getting this done. My sincere sympathy to your family in this tragic loss.

| 485 | christina Herron | i live in Maryland and drive to work everyday on 95. I can not believe the number of people that drive while talking or texting on their cell phones. The number of people who can not drive the speed limit and coordinate talking or texting at the same time should not be on the phone! |
| 486 | charles yeaton | The state of florida and other states need to be more responsive the dangers of speeding in high density area and the people who's lives are ruined because of it and not to getting someone to their destination a few minutes earlier. |
| 487 | William Lanier | Losing Heather was a big blow to her direct family and her family within the WDW Deployment Base. I also drove a semi truck, the one thing that is taught is do not let anything distract you from the road. Those trucks take a long time to stop and this just proves that if you drive for long periods of time you start to let your senses relax. This law should pass without hesitation and this should be nation wide not just for certain states. Our elected officials need to step up to the plate and hold people accountable for the actions and accidents they cause. |

| 489 | Daniel P. Campbell | I have experienced trying to get onto Bloody 27 when I visited friends in Florida. I could not believe there were no on-ramps or off-ramps to access this high speed highway. We had to cross two lanes of traffic and enter the other two lanes without a median wide enough to allow us to stop in the center. If we had to stop in the center, we could have been hit by traffic traveling in either direction. This is a very dangerous situation for a 65 mph highway. |

| 491 | Susan Deneen | I drive US 27 once or twice a year, to and from WDW, but I want it to be safe for myself, my daugther and everyone who uses this highway. Make US 27 safe for everyone! |

| 497 | Jean Didwell | We are home owners off the 27 and our development was due to have a set of traffic lights this year - until they found they had ordered the wrong shape arm for the lights. It is now scheduled to go into next years budget. Meanwhikle accidents happen at this intersection all the time. Add in the use of cells phones and no lights and you have a dangerous combination. It is illegal to use a cell phone whilst driving in the UK why do the authorities think that ban was introduced? TO SAVE LIVES. It is as dangerous to use your cell phone as if you were a drunk driver and that is not tolerated. |
