Name: Anne on May 8, 2007Comments: If any of us "lowly" American people pulled stuff like this, there would be no 2nd or 3rd times to be arrested, because we'd probably be in jail already. Prove there really IS a such thing as justice and lock her up! She shows no remore, and still doesn't take responsibility for her actions.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 8, 2007Comments: If this were a regular person, there wouldn't be a need for a petition. Why should celebrities get away with things that normal people don't. She needs to stop blaming everyone else and take some kind of responsibility for her actions.Flag

Name: Marti Shelton on May 8, 2007Comments: As a concerned citizen of the United States, I am shocked and appalled that Ms. Paris Hilton has created a petition to avoid doing time for her reckless and irresponsible behavior. It is my understanding that she has looked to you for a full pardon of her actions and, frankly, I hope that you take the appropriate action and NOT grant this pardon. This time no one was hurt, but as a parent yourself, I am certain you understand the dangers that drunk drivers present to families, children and individuals. Please do the right thing and refuse to pardon Ms. Hilton. She needs to understand that actions have consequenses and by giving her a pardon you would be excusing her bad behavior.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 8, 2007Comments: I think laws should be respected - not just the ones for our safety, but the ones designed to teach responsibility, accountability and reprecussions. It is shown too much in the news people getting off for things. That doesn't happen in the real world as often as in the celebrity one, and it sends the wrong message for young people. They don't take rules and laws seriously. Even Paris herself called her DUI "no big deal." It is a big deal. And she knew she broke the law numerous times. Just because she doesn't want to be caught and responsible doesn't mean she should be ...Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 8, 2007Comments: I do not think that Paris Hilton should get off with this Jail Sentence. She broke the LAW three times. Firstly Drink Driving and then being caught twice for driving without a licence. Because of the fact that she is in the Public EYE she should be made serve her sentence and it might actually get through to 1 person not to do what she has done. Imagine the amount of lives that can be saved if just 1 person decides agains drink driving or driving without a licence. She should have to serve her sentence. She chose to break the law now she should have to deal with the consequences. I know too many people that have been injured or killed because of this and they didn't get away with it. She shouldn't get away with it just because of who she os or how much money she has. In reality, she is another human being (which is what all famous people want to be treated like) who has broken the law and should have to deal with the consequences.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 8, 2007Comments: First off she did something wrong now she should suffer the consquence. It's not the assistants fault for giving her wrong information...it's her fault for not reading something before signing it. She's a big girl who needs to grow up and if jail is going to do that then she needs to go. She knew what she had to do and didn't do it.Flag
