Comments: Bus bike racks have been a huge success for SMART in terms of increasing riderships. DDOT bus bike racks would reap the same reward. With all of the greeenway development underway (e.g. Riverwalk), bus bike racks would be a great option for Detroiters wanting to get to them. With DTOGS allowing bike roll-ons, it makes sense for DDOT to carry bikes and enhances its role as a feeder.

Comments: I'm a DDOT rider and I'd ride more often if there were bike racks ON the busses. Thank you.

Comments: Adding bike racks means more transit options and improved customer service. When drivers see a different group of riders, this will definitely increase their customer service options.

Comments: Because of high gas prices I may purchase a bike and start taking the bus again. I reside in Ferndale.

Comments: This sort of thing is in GREAT need in this city! I use the racks on the 650 smart buss line but have few options as to other locations I wish to commute! I have found that many times the 2 bike racks are full and have to wait 45 to 55 minuets for the next buss only to find it is full!!! I commute all year round and it is catching on. I would love to see any improvement in this issue, Ron Shelton.

Comments: With gas prices the way they are, more and more are riding bikes, Ive had to wait for the next smart bus several times because the racks are full. And of course the DDOT keep driving by.
