The 407 ETR executives think we will just roll over while they ship our highway revenue to foreign conglomerates. They are wrong because we are building a movement that refuses to let these companies rob Ontario anymore.

Even if we pay hefty fee to take back we would win over five years as it would alleviate traffic and cost and allow for people to live further from jobs leading to more houses built and collection taxes and lower insurance as less collisions it would be for the better of society than three greedy companies
From 2017 to 2018 they raised their rates 12.5% when the cost of inflation is only 2.3%. That's more than 5 times the cost of inflation! Let's take back our highway/
Racketeer enforcement charges and interest of 26.8%. Think of the tax money that could have been appropriated to other government services .... Full public inquiry on how we sold it to a private corporation and who benefited from the sale, and how the proceeds of the sale were used... Also who is monitoring the billing as far as consumer protection ....
I don't mind having a pay road, however the charges have recently doubled with the time of use structure which is ridiculous. (And which has significantly reduced my use of the 407). The funds should also be kept in Ontario!
It is an absolute travesty to know that our hard earned tax dollars were used to build this highway, then our government sells it to a forgein company and now that same company takes advantage of those who use it. Appalling.
The 407 ETR should be free for all. The rates are ridiculous.
Power to the people! Let's correct this elitist boondoggle.

I am a US citizen. The way this tollway is marked ( or not marked) is akin to a trap and excessive toll charges ( more than a dollar a mile ) is robbery and gives a very bad impression of Canada to visitors.
