Ligonier Valley Little League Board members Newspaper announcement for membership requirements gave an 8 span to pay an undetermined amount to apply for membership to vote.
The membership fee was posted as an "undetermined fee". Attempts to contact little league officials through a complaint resulted in the following response (AFTER deadline to pay the unknown fee and apply)

Thank you for your email. If your league is not operating in a manner
that is best for the children of your league, then you and others have
an opportunity to elect different individuals to your board of
directors. If you and your positions are in the majority, you should
have no problem in electing other people.
I suggest you contact a member of the board to determine when the
elections are held. They are usually in the fall. You can also contact
Barbara Holovka as she has a copy of the league's constitution which
will state when the elections are held and who is eligible to vote.
Thank you.
Donald R. Soucy
Eastern Regional Director
Little League Eastern Region Headquarters
The end result was the board voting themselves in again and ousted a 19 year member who spoke out against the board.
We believe this vote should be thrown out and Little League officials should provide the people with a fair opportunity to vote.
Is it really too much to ask for a higher league official to intervene, attend a meeting, mediate and help resolve.
I am calling for an ousting of the board or a Boycott againts their sponsors:
Upper Deck, Wilson, Ace Hardware, Russel Athletic, Bank of America, Sunkist, Snickers, Choice Hotels, Bryant Heating and Cooling, Capri Sun, Remax, Honda, Cingular. |
