Comments: 3 to 5 story housing along San Pablo Avenue, as well as the other arterial streets in Berkeley will only enhance the livability of these neighhborhoods. In addition to support neighborhood businesses, theses residences will buffer the street noise to the lower dense neighborhoods beyond.

Comments: Blighted sites are not good for any neighborhood. This project is in conformance to current zoning ordinances. I urge you: improve the area; support this project.

Comments: I had a nursery business at 10th and Carleton for 5 years. That portion of San Pablo Ave. had many auromotive uses which did not reflect or serve the rather nice residential community east of the street. Ms. Curtis' plans seem to offer a substantial upgrade to existing patterns of use on San Pablo and some decent addition of housing for the city. Frank Daar

Comments: It would be cheeper for the city to move the one house next to the lot to some other location (preferably some other city). They bought the lot, and probably paid less than others in the area because of its proximity to San Pablo Ave., and it is unreasonable for them to think that the lot next door would never be developed. Tell them to get over it.
