Palisade Partners is looking for support for their proposed project at 25th and Welton Streets from the residents of the Five Points neighborhoods. The proposed project is designed to meet the objectives of the Five Points Vision Plan to activate the Welton Street corridor and contribute to its rebirth of economic and cultural vibrancy. What is now over 30,000 square feet of vacant land is proposed as a mixed-use, mixed product residential/retail development consisting of approximately 80 market-rate rental apartments, 14 for-sale-at-market-rate town homes, and approximately 4,000 square feet of retail space. The apartment building will be 5-stories and reflect the historic character of this culturally historic district. The town homes will step down to generally align with the height of the neighboring, historic town homes already along Welton Street. The retail space will be leased to business(es) that fulfill needs the neighborhood has for goods/services as perceived by residents/property owners of Five Points. The developer will hold meetings with the residents for this purpose in the coming months. The developer is seeking your support, as a resident/property owner in Five Points, and welcomes any comments and feedback regarding the project plans. Your comments will be shared with the Landmark Preservation Commission at the developer's upcoming project hearing on September 17, 2013, from 1-3pm. Interested parties are also invited to show support at the meeting, which will be held at the Wellington Webb building located at 201 W Colfax Ave in downtown Denver.
