24:14 Campaign to stop wrongful allegations of child abuse and missed
child abuse
Responsible department: Department Of Health
We, would like the Government to introduce 24:14 - a nationwide protocol for all hospitals to help doctors differentiate between child abuse and non-abuse and ensure that all babies/children where there is suspicion of abuse are seen by Paediatric specialists within 24 hours of admission and reviewed up to 14 days later, for a clearer medical picture.
24:14 would help 70,000 children affected by abuse and misdiagnosis of abuse each year and Reduce £1 billion the UK spends annually dealing with the aftermath of
child abuse rather than its prevention
