The class of 2010 has become North Carolina's guinea pig. The state has made mandatory a project that, in the eyes of students (and even some adults!), has no real value. Many students are very upset over having to do such projects, seeing them as an extra burden on an already heavy courseload. The First Amendment of the United States Constitution gives us the right to petition, to express our ideas to the government. We can make ourselves heard, and hopefully change things around!
