I would like to see the Planning Board become acquainted with its mandate; ie, the need to conserve and protect the citizens of Toronto from unwanted and unnecessary development, which is poisoning our air, killing our planet, and destroying every citizen's connection to our neighbourhood.Flag

Name: Wilmar Kortleever on Mar 23, 2013Comments: People signing this petition should also register their opposition to the (alledged) Wal-Mart along Laird. It all sounds like part and parcel of same trend: growth without thinking. Building along roads that are already over capacity - saddling the neighbourhood with all the b.s. And where again are any kids living in these new developments (Scenic on Eglinton, and now 4 more towers along Eglinton west of Brentcliffe?) going to go to school? All schools all around are bursting at the seems - and developers in Toronto are contributing almost nothing to community building - sigh...Flag
