Michael MaszarosBeing on the Board of Directors of a non-profit that has successfully packed the Farmer's Market to capacity at our annual festivals for the past two years, I definitely see the potential that the Market has to be an amazing money-maker and tourist destination for Richmond. Both Richmonders and visitors alike enjoy the Market, and properly managed, the potential is endless. I've known Scott for a few years now and am personally knowledgeable of his ability to take on this important role. I cannot think of anyone else more suited for this position.

Sara M TunickI have known Mr. Sibley for many years now- and have been lucky enough in addition to also have him as a neighbor... I know that he would be a great asset to the 17th Street Farmers Market, which in turn would be an amazing asset the the Richmond community!
Carrick BaughConsumer trends & rising fuel prices show that people are returning the local foods/farmers' market tradition. Closing the 17th Street Market would be an incredible cultural and historic loss for the city. (I actually don't even live there, but come down from D.C. occassionally and make it a point to check out the market purely for the pleasure of the experience and the quality of the produce.) More of interest to you though, might be the lost economic opportunity the city would incur when locally-farmed market-bought produce really begins to take off in the next couple years. If I were you, I'd begin plans now to develop public space and daytime businesses around the market to exploit the influx of people you're essentially guaranteed to see - fuel prices aren't going anywhere but UP.
Lauren TurnerScott would be the perfect 17th St market manager!

LisaI have some experience working with Scott in the marketing/event promotions arena, and I think he is an outstanding motivator and marketer. His passion for the Farmer's Market combined with his skill are reason enough. Yet, there are even more to consider, and he is an outstanding fit for the job.
Henrietta NearIt's a wonderful m rket and with proper guidance can be a real drawing card for the city and surroundings, as well as for out -of -town visitors.

Katie FrustiAs a new resident of the Farmer's Market neighborhood, I feel not only that the position is necessary, but that no one would fulfill the position with as much passion and dedication as Scott Sibley.

William LangstonI am glad that Scott has the vision, passion & creative ideas to keep the 17th Street Market thriving. I have long wished that Richmond's 17th Street Market draws the crowd just as the one in Washington D.C.
