    Comments: My husband is also a 44-year-old social studies teacher with conservative views working in Virginia. Every year, there are teachers being persecuted for their views if they are not in line with the administrators. Students should be critical thinkers, not robots, and capable of independent thought, whether they agree with a teacher or not. Teaching is imparting wisdom, not forcing adopted opinions. Congratulations, Mr. Latham, on imparting wisdom in these kids who are willing to fight for you!!
