This petition is to gain support from all the 12's and all other NFL fans who are getting tired of the NFL over stepping their bounds.

My example will be of a specific case, but will provide an example of what the NFL is doing to the very fans that are the sole reason the NFL is as big as it is.

There are two shows which are broadcasted by Root Sports NW (Ch 687 on DirecTV), Seahawks All Access and Seahawks Press Pass. The first being a 30 min show covering highlights from the previous weekend's game as well as insight into the team. The latter is simply a press conference with Coach Carroll and various players.

For the past several years, I have been able to view these programs without issue. This year, verified with Root Sports themselves, the NFL has instructed Root Sports to limit the broadcast to only zip codes in the Seattle and Portland areas. Root Sports also confirmed that the blackout rules even affect fans living in Eastern Washington!

I have not verified if the NFL has blacked out other teams programs, but can only assume they have.

With that said, I am seeking the support of all NFL fans, to stand up against the NFL and its abuse of power. I do not want to sound dramatic, but it is very frustrating when a fan is not allowed to watch their own team’s press conference because the NFL doesn’t “allow” it.

Please provide your support to this petition by not only signing, but spreading the word to all your friends and to have them spread it to their friends, etc. Let us show them the true power of the 12th man!!!
