Comments: The Medals should certainly be rescinded and the Battle Pennant removed and given to the relatives of those murdered so they can destroy them. And every school in this country must add to their curriculum the atrocities our People suffered at the hands of the Government.

Comments: after my research I see that many innocent peoples died for no reason. I do not see honor in this action that was taken long ago. I would like to see those medals of honor be rescinded as the action was w/o cause and reason and the crueulty deserves no medal or a reason for pride. Apologies to them and their descendants would be recomended. Thank you, Windfeather

Comments: It's long overdo. Even in America's past history this is so insidious to reward soldiers for the slaughter of innocent Native people. How could could this be anything remotely honorable

Comments: Wounded Knee is an opened wound, this massacre will never be forgotten. Those medals of dis honor would be a step towards the American Indian people, and would give to the American ( white ) people some honor by accepting and recognizing what has been done, and apologizing.

Comments: Killing innocent women and children is not a reason to receive the Medal of Honor. Military people have been courtmarshalled for less, then these men are honored ... how can that be Remember the Mi Lai massacre in Vietnam Those men were not honored, they were dis-honored and treated as criminals. What is the difference here between the two groups of men

Comments: IPlease pay attention to the rights of all people. f the US is ever going to gain the respect she craves it is time to display a sense of honor. These medals of (Honor) are awarded for slaughter and abuse on a large scale. Aren't soldiers being tried in court for humiliating people in Iraq Has anything changed in all these years Is America really proud of such military incompentence Isn't the display of the Battle Pennant a Hate Crime as it glorifies abuse against Native peoples and is harrassment of people of all tribes Or does the hate crime act that tells us ordinary citizens what words we can say and restricts religious rights if the sight of something offends people of some special interest group not apply to the government itself Oh well, I am Indian and I am white Euro and I am offended. Maybe just because I am human with a conscience. PEACE
