Comments: You can not know how the Wounded Knee Massacre has affected all Native American Peoples to this day. By accident is one thing but to continually kill unarmed men, women, and children miles from the beginning of the Massacre. This act was flat out murder! To praise and decorate solders for this is an attrocity! It is time for the United States Government to admit a mistake and rescind the metals and remove the flag and have all destroyed. I know that I am not alone in the feeling of pain that the Massacre still causes. It is time to bury these symbols of mass murder so that The People can heal and move forward. We are not asking for monetary damages; just a gesture from the U.S. Government that a wrong was done to The People and as an apology in the form of rescinding the medals and the banner.

Comments: Do you reward murder, child abuse,Elder abuse, slaughter and genocide These were the Original Homeland defenders, they had a RIGHT to defend their homes and families from illegal terroristic invaders, just as "Americans" feel they have the SAME right today. The TRUE Hero's are still today called "blood thirsty savages" while the murderers were "awarded medals" of "valor" It is time for real justice to be served,REMOVE those Medals, destroy them, and let the truth be recorded for a change!

Comments: When will the US Government wake up The Canadian government on January 7, 1998 apologised to indigenous people They said they are sorry for all the wrong doing they did to all the Native people and there children, This does not make it ok but maybe we have started the healing with them.. How much longer does the US Government plan on dividing us and stealing all they can from us What you have done to our children and people is wrong! But yet you continue do so! These medals that where given are wrong.. When will you stand for right.. When will the history books read the truth about US When will you stand for truth To praise and decorate solders for this is an attrocity! It is time for the United States Government to admit the mistake In this and all things it has done to all our People.

Comments: Why should soldiers be honored for the mass murder of hundreds of sick, elderly, women and children all under a flag or truce and fully trusting the integrity of the Cavalry. All medels should be taken away and these men should have been issued dishonorable discharges for this attrocity!

Comments: Honor the innocent...recognize the wrongs...RESCIND the tokens of racist revenge and slaughter now! The reluctance of the political and military establishment to recall these tainted medals on the pretext that they were deemed to be honorable and dutiful deeds at the time is without merit. The reality is that the 7th Calvary and all of the rest of the USA military hasn't changed its purpose or focus since Wounded Knee. It still serves (currently in Iraq) as a mercenary force to intimidate, threaten and massacre people, especially non-white, whose self-determination tends to interfere with "American interests"--being the greedy exploitation by landLORD/investor class. Comments: These acts are recorded and fact based. Why has this been forgotten in history This was the first holocaust; Native Americans were slaughtered and treated less than a farm animal. The media and public only remember the Jews and Hitler; this was no less evil and deserves the same attention and respect. Would anyone in Congress wish to bestow Medals of Honor on Hitler All of these soldiers, officers, and political entities need to be held to the same standards. They were murdering dogs, not heroes! They were thieves, rapists, and pedophiles. All of this seems to be lost over time. Custer was not a hero, Columbus was not someone to look up too and celebrate. Lets begin set this right!

My heart is driven to Wounded Knee because this is where I think it starts. I may have lost family in this travisty and no one deserves a medal for killing children, nursing mothers or unarmed people.

Comments: There is no reason why these medals remain, and to not rescind them would be to tell everyone that these men acted in an honorable way by massacring our people thereby negating any apology. There has to be COMPLETE recognition that this was murder, not a genuine battle for the people by "brave" men. Murderers don't get medals.
