Name: Anonymous on Jul 25, 2008Comments: Because there are no survivors of the Battle at Wounded Knee, I find this petition frivolous and corrupt as black people demanding reparations for slavery in the mdoern era. As I watch my grandmother still living - who watched her entire family wiped out in Holocaust - I realise that these are petty petitions that do nothing but bring temporary comfort to families with no living survivors of these exigents. I'm signing it only because I was a U.S. Marine, and could care less about the Army and their pathetic history.Flag

So I freely Chose to Take a Name, Maybe A Native American won't See it as Native American, but with the Hope in the ! God As I See and as They See......I chose to be called "1 Take" in My Heart cause at the Moment of My Conception it only took 1 Take to See the Backwardsness of What was Coming...........and what I had to Battle,,,,,,Now If You Really want to See My Warrior Spirit....Then to Those this applies Keep Making Alientating People Race's and feed the Bigotry's........We are Human and If a Cul of our Herd is Sick we do not Seperate then We HAVE TO HEAL THEM.....TO SEPARATE SO THE CUL DIES OFF AND KEEPS THE HERD PURE WAS HITLER'S IDEA........SO AS IT WAS SAID..........SO AS IT IS......SO AS IT WILL EVER BE......... Name: Carolyn Woodruff on Jul 27, 2008Comments: Many of my relatives were killed in that unrighteous massacre. The pain and sadness is still among us to this day as I was taught as a little girl when seeing the site, this wasn't just ancestors, they shot you, me, mom, dad, brother, etc. Medals are deserved to those who act out of dignity or honor, this was neither. It was a wonton slaughter over a camp of people who already surrendered. The actions against the Native peoples are the only times I can say that I am ashamed of the USA and it's armed services.Flag
