3457 Karen DiPietroI am a former high school social studies teacher and have visited Wounded Knee. I believe Native American people have the right to practice their religion without the interference of the 7th Calvary. I also wish that the 7th Calvary was not part of our history at all. May the Creator bless those who died at Wounded Knee. Bless them...

3472 Ernest CollinsThis was wrong of 7th Calvary, and very rotten deed to kill Native Americans. Which were innocent unarmed women, children, elders, and men. This was a National disgrace, and all medals should be rescinded ASAP

3474 janet hilton ( UK )How my heart cries out for the injustices done to the peoples of the First Nation. The greed of man has destroyed so much. The medals given for the masssacre of Wounded Knee is just rubbing salt into the wound. It is time to face the wrong-doiongs and start to make things right. Would you give medals to the terrorists of 9/11 ?

3484 Mark redfox PayneTo kill soo many just because is not right. I know this was another time in history, let history know wounds can be healed. Make a new history by doing what no one else has the courage to do. Or is the US gov. just that weak? Onen
3485 Pauline KerwathThere is bravery and there is courage in battle, and for these things, the Medal of Honor is awarded. But the slaying of innocent people, including children, does not demand bravery and courage. It demands a kind of moral sickness and base cruelty, and medals of honor should not have been given for the acts that occurred on December 29, 1890. Those who were so honored then were falsely honored, while those who have received medals of honor for acts of real bravery and moral courage are lessened by this.
3486 AnonymousAnd this is what they call civilization? One should be going after the records of these soldiers who shot and killed innocent women children and men, and making those families aware that the history that these people have caused is still haunting the families that were effected with such a brutal crime. That would be a good start then the US Government, like this petition has outlined.

3496 Jerilyn J. WatkinsI once wrote a collage history report on this and made a 98. The material used in class was not in my report. It was from Indian perpective instead. This is probably one of the greatest genocides by our government. Cold blooded killing..

3498 Barbara LowWe are still alive. We are not going away. Time for the U.S. to come clean here.
3499 Karen HyorthNative American were butchered without cause at Wounded Knee. I am deeply offended that those behind the massacre received Medal of Honor in the first place. Everyone of those medals should be rescinded immediately.
3500 AnonymousIt is with great honor for me to sign this petition, for I also have Indian blood in my veins and it cries.
