Name: Melanie on Jul 9, 2007Comments: i feel as a loving dog owner to 2 staffordshire bull terriers that this ban on so called ''dangerous breeds'' is totally unacceptable. To let the council and goverment try to ban these breeds whom are loyal and loving pets when in the hands of loving and caring owners.Flag

Name: Catherine on Jul 9, 2007Comments: I think that it is terrible that the council is TELLING responsible dog owners to re home their dogs some of which they have had for years, to re home them or have them destroyed. These dogs are well looked after family pets and show dogs , Their owners have invested a lot of money in them e.g cost of purchase, microchipping, show fees and veterinary care, and are registered with the I.K.C. i think the public should be made aware of the diffrence between staffordshire bull terrier and the pit bull terrier which is not a registered breed or recigonised by the I.K.CFlag

Name: Stuart on Jul 19, 2007Comments: Staffordshires are a gentle breed of dog when treated well by their owners, and kept in regular contact with humans and not left alone as its then that they become a handful.....they need lots of love and attention......so whatever IDIOT put forward this motion of 11 so called dangerous breeds to be banned knows nothing about dogs so they better do there homework on what is classed as a "dangerous breed"....... must be getting bored in the Dail and council offices for them to conjur up this crap........Flag

I mean everyone nor living organisms have a right to live.Flag
