The volume and length of the T68i/T68 message alert tone should be increased, or the user able select a ring tone in it's place. It is forseen this would be implemented along with the next firmware revision so users are able to take their T68i/T68 handset to their Sony Ericsson service centre and get the firmware updated free of charge.
We recognise that the handset is a fantastic, and ably functional handset and possibly the best phone currently available on the market. It is, however, let down by the inaudible message alert tone.
Please tell your friends about this link and post it on T68i and mobile related web sites/your site/forums etc.

This petition was started by me due to users of the T68i complaining of the inaudible tone. I am in no way related with Sony Ericsson or any of their affiliates etc. For the official Sony Ericsson site please look in the links box to the right.
There are only 677 signatures so far... Still not enough! (Petition was started on 23rd September 2002.) Please keep passing the link on to others with a T68i and putting it on your sites etc. Surely it's not too difficult to get 1000 signatures? I really want the sheer volume of signatures to impress Sony Ericsson in to making the change we want.
Kind regards...
(NB. I must point out that there is no way of magically making the phone louder by a firmware upgrade. It will only ever go as loud as the ringer can go anyway, like when ringing for a phone call for example.) |

I am a student who just bought a T68i. I like the phone but just end up replying late to SMS's due to inaudible tone. |
