There is no time to wait. Our citizens need and deserve world-class health care.
- 1 in 3 of us will be diagnosed with cancer during
our lifetime.
- 46 Connecticut residents are diagnosed with cancer
every day.
- 20 Connecticut residents die of cancer each day.
- Nearly 2,700 Connecticut women will be diagnosed
with breast cancer this year; 500 will die.
- Across the country, approximately 9,500 children
will be diagnosed with new cases of cancer this year.
The proposed Cancer Center means hope for the thousands of Connecticut
residents now suffering from cancer and the thousands more who will be
diagnosed with cancer in the year to come.
The people of Connecticut deserve to have access to quality careright
hereclose to homerather then being forced to go somewhere
else for that help!
The time to act is now.
We need all of our elected officialsat the state and local levelto
step forward and help ensure that the proposed Cancer Center becomes a
reality.
The proposed Clinical Cancer Center at Yale-New Haven Hospital is a critical
step toward making our communities and our state a healthier and better
place to live.
Please pass my name on to my elected officials and tell them that we
are all counting on their help and support.
