We, the undersigned, urge bringing in Amy Goodman’s program Democracy Now!

Democracy Now! has a record of award-winning journalistic quality with well-researched, accurate and fair reporting of major issues which other media all too often let “fall through the cracks.” While most other news sources have conflicts of interest between the public’s right to know and the private interests of their ownership and sponsorship, Democracy Now! does not accept advertisers, donations from corporations, or donations from governments, allowing Democracy Now! to maintain its independence.

For democracy to work, we need access to reliable information from diverse and independent sources. To this end, we, the radio listeners of Central Alabama, call on our radio and television broadcasters to add the national, daily, independent, award-winning news program, Democracy Now! to our news menu.
