Remove Rich Scott from Council

We, the citizens of Kirksville, have been disheartened and disappointed over the last year due to the arrests and subsequent charges brought against Councilman Rich Scott for alcohol and domestic abuse. Further, we are dismayed that Mr. Scott, as an ambassador for and representative of us, the citizens of Kirksville, has not seen fit to relinquish his position of his own free will.

We respectfully request, by signing this petition, that Mr. Scott step down immediately as a member of the Kirksville City Council and, if he sees fit to remain, that the Council and the administrative offices of the City explore and enact any available measures to remove Mr. Scott from the Council.

We also indicate, by signing this petition, that we declare "no confidence" in the ability of Mr. Scott to effectively serve as a member of the Council and represent the interests of the citizens of Kirksville.
