Here is a life, virtually extinguished, yet suspended, nothing but the fleshy shell remains. We feel sorry for this tragic loss - the loss of the hopes and dreams of a young girl. Unfulfilled. She deserved better, but fate intervened. there's nothing left now, only the vessel. You could feel as mush compassion for an amputated foot or a finger. It used to be important..but on it's own, you realize that it was only a tool. A tool of the person, the soul. As her death draws near, my feelings aren't at all cavalier anymore. I'm starting to fear. On TV we've heard the doctor's reports. seen the MRI's - No conscious brain activity! So the soul must have moved on, or expired, right? Are we sure? How do we know that a spark of her conscious life isn't bubbling just below the surface of what we may see as only vacant eyes? I've seen the videos, and yes, I believe she could still be there. I'm not religious but I firmly believe her death will be our sin. In the throws of her death, the husband calmly tells us she is comfortable and not distressed. As she was a month ago. He argued in court that this is what she wanted. That some passing remark while watching a news report should be the basis of her tenure with life. Maybe she too was being cavalier. |

To give these new allegations and opinions of Terri's condition the opportunity to be held under the light in a court of law (not political idealism), it would change the circumstances as they now are viewed. Judge Greer should be stripped of his position and title. Terri Schiavo deserves all the evidence to be heard in her behalf. She has had four strokes and WITHOUT therapy she would still be at an infant level. Thank God and MANY therapist she can now crawl, sit alone, pull herself to stand and walk with a walker. Her MRI's also say that she is actually missing both left and right sides of her brain matter. The Physicians here are amazed daily. She wasnt suppose to live to be three. Then they said she would die before age five but God has more plans for her. She does not have a voice either. Please save erri! Is she less important than our daughter? Please appoint someone TOTALLY neutral to investigate this case. I hope I speak for many when I say that if indeed THEY see that she has been treated fairly that NO ONE would have a problem with this. I dont understand how a man that is common law married can STILL be appointed Terri's gaurdian. If my husband were to marry another that would be considered polygamy wouldnt it? Would he not be committing a crime? But yet Michael Shiavo is still allowed to make judgements on his FIRST wife? I am submitting a photo of our daughter and PLEASE take a look then you can delete this email with all the others if you like. If you can look at this precious gift from God and say that Terri... with therapy wouldnt deserve to smile like she does... then you sleep at night. God Bless your family and hopefully your heart! By the way this is her at the special olympics with her teacher. Does she look brain dead to you? Her doctors say by HER MRI's by all accounts she should be.

It saddens me greatly that this beautiful person is being slowly and painfully murdered when her loving family want and desire to care for her - where is the justice ? Plse let her family care for her - what is the harm? It just dosent make any sense.
I live in Australia, so I apologise that I only know of the case what media has shown me - however it seems that Terris husband caused her condition with cruel jibes about her weight and now he has the right to kill her. If this man loved his wife he would allow the family to care for Terri, like they so desperately desire to. God save his soul - if indeed he has one!

Through Terri's Eyes
Hear I lie but cannot say
Please don't take my life away!
I thought the courts would stick up for me
but I fell through the cracks like a lot you see.
For all of you I have no grudge
It's not for me that you'll be judged.
For better or worse we both did say
but now he takes my life away?
No food or water I've had in days
Why can't you change your tortured ways.
They don't care if I live or die
As they coldly watch my family cry.
I'll soon be with my father above
No more thurst or hunger thereof.
I so;am getting weaker by day
as I lie in this bed waisting away.
I've done nothing wrong to deserve this fate
the courts will sit back until it's too late.
Promises have been broken day by day
Ones that will have taken my life away.

I wish the courts did not delay
for ones life you can't repay.
